As Design Director for Basecamp Student, I successfully collaborated with internal and external teams in the design and development of student housing and hospitality projects.
Managing and coordinating design and interior architects, fit-out contractors, overseeing construction projects with a focus on cost, quality, innovation and timelines in order to convince clients, investors and stakeholders of the Basecamp brand, was the aim of the multidisciplinary work at Basecamp to create and develop a successful, innovative, profitable and high quality but cost efficient design around the brand.
The task was to successfully conceptualise and execute successful design projects in the area of student flats with community areas and communal kitchens, hotel concepts with short-stay rooms and restaurants, as well as event and meeting rooms.
The management and coordination of national and international external design teams in compliance with the corporate identity, costs, quality and time management in English and German were the order of the day.
“The result of creating unique spaces in collaboration with design and development teams has been honored with international design awards such as ‘Best Learning Environment’”
