In 2019, Basecamp acquired the site of the former AEG transformer factory with the Rathenau-Hallen. The company is now planning a sustainable redesign as an open neighbourhood in Oberschöneweide in line with the preservation order.
During the planning phase, a temporary meeting place was needed to be able to receive guests and hold meetings on site.

A room-in-room concept was developed, which is based on the young and urban design language of Basecamp Student and invites users to feel comfortable working and meeting in the large industrial halls. Cosy sofas, acoustic curtains and plants radiate comfort and create a quality of stay.
